Fulham's Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa scored the only goal as Cameroon defeated Nigeria 1-0 in an international friendly match on Friday, June 4.
Gernot Rohr's side started with record breaking Belgian league goalscorer Paul Onuachu, who almost broke the deadlock in the third minute but his header was parried by goalkeeper Simon Omossola.
Minutes later later he tried another attempt to score but it was wide off target.
Despite Nigeria's constant forays in attacking spaces against their West African neighbors, it was Cameroon who opened the scoring through Zambo Anguissa's strike in the 37th minute.
Rohr did chops and changes to his team to bring forth an equalizer but Cameroon held firm and Nigeria lost the match.
Prior to this encounter at the Stadion Weiner Neustadt, Vienna, the Super Eagles were unbeaten in their last four games.
In recent outings against Cameroon, the Super Eagles have dominated, winning two of the last three fixtures against the five-time African champions with the other ending in a draw.
Nigerians have taken to social media to react. See some reactions below.
